Veg Spring Rolls



“Veg Spring Rolls” recipe

Spring roll is a very attractive snack and mostly preferred by young people and children. We can get this crunchy and mouth-watering snack in most of the Indian restaurants. Most important part of this snack is to maintain its cruchiness while serving. The combination of maida sheet and all vegies inside makes it just perfect light meal. Now come with me to have a closer look on how to prepare this simple recipe.

Ingredients:
Oil for deep frying


Spring roll sheet  Ingredients:
1 cup maida (all-purpose flour)
2 teaspoon corn flour
½ teaspoon salt
Water for kneading


Filling  Ingredients:
1 small size cabbage(finely chopped)
1 carrot finely chopped
2 teaspoon capsicum(finely chopped)
2 teaspoon spring onion
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon white paper
1 teaspoon oil
Salt to taste



























Kitchen utensils required:
  • 2 non-stick pan (I prefer: Vinod Zest Non- Stick Friendly Pan)
  • 2 Spatula (I prefer: PINDIA Wooden Curved Spoons)
  • 12 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
  • 1 non-stick tava (I prefer: Vinod Cookware Dosa Tava)
  • 1 Grater (I prefer: Pearl Store Easy Grater)
  • 1 Chopper (I prefer: Genius Nicer Dicer Plus Multi Chopper Vegetable Cutter Fruit slicer)

  • 1 Water jug
                                     



                                                            Step by step procedure:

Prepare Spring roll sheet
  
There are two methods for making spring roll sheets


  •  By using thin paste of all-purpose flour.

  •  By making dough of all-purpose flour and corn flour.

Second method is good and mostly preferred because by this method we can make roll of our choice (thick or thin rolls).

So let’s begin with second method.


Step-1 Take bowl, add maida, Corn flour, salt. Mix everything very well. Now add water to make soft dough.
Step-2 Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Step-3 Now take it out and heat non-stick tava. Take small portion of it and make roti out of it. When tava is hot, put roti on it just for few seconds. Cook it from both sides. Similarly prepare all the rolls. Cover them with muslin cloth.
Make filling
Take non-stick deep fry pan. Add oil to it. When oil become hot then add all the filling ingredients on high heat. Toss it quickly for few seconds. Switch of flame, let it cool down.
Prepare spring rolls
Step-1 Take one sheet put 1 large teaspoon filling on it. Now take bowl, add 3 teaspoon all- purpose flour and water. Mix both and make thick paste of it. Now take that paste and apply it on all sides of sheet. Now roll the sheet first from left and right part, then from up and down sides. Make sure that filling does not come out, if it is so then while frying them, roll will open and you will not get perfect spring roll.  Similarly prepare all spring rolls.
Step-2 Take deep fry pan, add refine oil to it. When oil is hot, put not more than two spring rolls at one time. Now cook it very well. Similarly prepare all.
When done, serve it hot with tomato catch up, chat masala..!! 

 Tips:
  • Apply oil on sheets because it can stick with other roll.

  • You can also buy spring roll sheets from super market.
