Sambhar

“Sambhar” recipe

Recipe Cuisine: Indian | Recipe Category: Side Dish
Prep Time: 6-7 hour    | Cook time: 40 mins     | Serves: 2-3

Sambhar is a spicy variant of traditional dal and closely resembles to Rasam. Sambhar is prepared from toor dal which is accustomed to be served with dosa, vada or idli. Preparation of sabhar had been really easy and quick now since we get MTR or Tops Sambhar mix in market. All we need to do is add proportionate water and vegetables in it and then cook it as prescribed. But the taste we get when made with dal and other ingredients is very close to what we get in southern recipes. You require very less vegetables for making sambhar or it actually depends on your taste…any traditional South Indian meal is usually incomplete without this recipe...join me to prepare this interesting recipe.
