Paneer “Tikka” Dry

Paneer “Tikka” Dry Recipe

Recipe Type: Snack Recipe Cuisine: Indian
Preparation Time: 20 minsCooking time: 30 mins     | serves: 2-3

Paneer tikka once prepared, can be either enjoyed as a dry snack or serve it with gravy. Dry paneer tikka is itself very delicious due to variety of veggies used to prepare its stuffing and thick yogurt and lemon used to give tikka, a tasty coating. The chatpata masala used in it makes it very tasty and delicious. In a restaurant many people enjoy this snack so I decided to make this yummy dish at home….and here I am sharing its recipe with you…have a look.

Ingredients:

12-15 paneer cubes
1 capsicum (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
7-8 toothpicks (soaked in cold water for 15 minutes)

Tikka Ingredients:
1 teaspoon besan
1 teaspoon (ginger, garlic, green chili) paste
½ cup yogurt
½ teaspoon chili flakes
½ teaspoon red chili powder
¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon chat masala
¼ teaspoon lemon juice
¼ teaspoon food color
Salt as per your taste

Kitchen utensils required:
  • 16 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
  • 1 Chopper (I prefer: Genius Nicer Dicer Plus Multi Chopper Vegetable Cutter Fruit slicer)
  • 1 Microwave ( I prefer: IFB 25DGSC1 25-Litre 1400-Watt Convection Microwave Oven )

Step by step procedure:

Step-1 Prepare paneer tikka.
In a bowl add paneer cubes, capsicum, onion, tomato and all the tikka masala ingredients. Mix well. Keep bowl in freezer for 15 minutes to marinade.

Step-2 Take out tikka bowl from freezer, pick-up one toothpick and insert one by one few of tikka’s to the stick. Similarly prepare all the tikka’s.
Step-3 Now put microwave in convection mode and set 200.C to preheat microwave for 6-7 minutes. Apply oil on high rack and place tikka’s on rack. Cook it from both sides (each side 10-12 minutes) in convection mode until cooked well.

When done Enjoy it with cold drinks, chips.

Tips:
  •  Don’t add too much besan to the mix.
  •  Always soak toothpicks in water before use otherwise it will burn in microwave.
  • If you have grill option in your oven, you need not set the temperature or preheat it. Just choose the grill option and start the oven with the grilling pan inside it.
