Crunchy Honey chili potato



“Crunchy Honey Chili Potato” Recipe

Honey-chili potato is an Indo-Chinese fusion recipe. This recipe is loved by masses  crunchy aloo, Chinese sauce, honey and veggies use in it like capsicum and onion makes it too delicious and spicy. An important aspect that you must be careful while preparing this snack is to maintain crunchiness of potatoes; otherwise honey chili will not taste good. Many cook just make deep-fry aloo and then add it with other ingredients but this approach does not give you required crunchiness and neither sauces get mixed up properly...for more details, below is the recipe..have a look.





Ingredients:
3 medium size potatoes
1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
2 teaspoon corn flour
2 teaspoon oil
Oil for deep frying
2 cup cold water
Salt as per your taste
¼ teaspoon sesame seed


Honey chili sauce Ingredients:
1 capsicum(finely chopped)
5-6 garlic clove(finely chopped)
1 small piece of ginger(finely chopped)
1 teaspoon corn flour
1 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon tomato catch-up
Salt as per your taste
1 teaspoon honey


























Kitchen utensils required:
  • 3 non-stick pan (I prefer: Vinod Zest Non- Stick Friendly Pan)
  • 3 Spatula (I prefer: PINDIA Wooden Curved Spoons)
  • 15 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
  • 1 Chopper (I prefer: Genius Nicer Dicer Plus Multi Chopper Vegetable Cutter Fruit slicer)

  • 1 Water jug


                                    






                         Step by step procedure:

To make Crunchy potatoes
Step-1 Take bowl, add maida, corn flour, salt and oil. Mix everything very well. Now add water and make thick paste of it. Keep aside it for 5 minutes.
Step-2 Take deep pan, add water. Let it boil for a minute. Now cut potatoes in shape of French fries. Transfer the potatoes in hot water. Add salt. Let it boil for 4-5 minutes.

Step-3 When potatoes are semi cooked then take them out and immediately transfer them in bowl containing cold water. Keep it for 6-7 minutes. Now take them out from water and let it dry so that all water get removed from potatoes.

Step-4 Now dip potatoes in a bowl containing maida paste. Now heat non-stick deep fry pan, add oil. When oil become hot then fry all potatoes. When done take them out in a napkin. You can again fry them for more crunchiness.

Prepare Sauce for potatoes
Step-1 Heat a non-stick deep pan. Add oil. When oil become hot add chopped capsicum, ginger, garlic and fry it for few seconds on high flame.
Step-2 Take bowl add corn flour and water. Make paste of it. Now transfer it in a pan and let it cook for few second on high flame.
Step-3 Now add soy sauce and tomato catch-up and stir well on high flame.
Step-4 When sauce is cooked well then switch of the gas and then finally add crunchy potatoes and honey.  
When done garnish it with sesame seeds and chopped green onion.


Tips:
  • Double frying potatoes make it more crunchy and tasty.
  • Always add potatoes at the end, when gas is off so that potatoes will remain crunchy.
