Mumbai "Pav Bhaji"

                                                 Mumbai "Pav Bhaji"

Ingredients:
2 onions (finely chopped)
3 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2-3 boiled potatoes
1/2 capsicum (finely chopped)
2-3 teaspoon boiled green peas
1 tomato (large, finely chopped)
2 teaspoon pav-bhaji masala
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon red chili-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt as per your taste
Water as required







Kitchen utensils required:
  • 12 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
  • 1 Spatula (I prefer: PINDIA Wooden Curved Spoons)
  • 1 non-stick tava (I prefer: Vinod Cookware Dosa Tava)
  • 1 Water jug
  • 1 non-stick pan (I prefer: Vinod Zest Non- Stick Friendly Pan)
  • 1 Mixer-grinder( I prefer: Prestige Hero 550- Watt Mixer Grinder)
  • 1 cooker (I prefer: Prestige Popular Aluminum Pressure Cooker, 3 Liters)





                                                    Step by step procedure

Prepare Bhaji                                              
Step-1 Heat non-stick deep fry pan. Add butter.

Step-2 Now add cumin seeds and red chili garlic paste. Fry it for 1 minute.

Step-3 Add finely chopped onions in it and cook the onion for 2 minutes.

Step-4 Take cooker, boil potatoes and green peas.

Step-5 Now add tomato in the pan and cook it nicely.

Step-6 Add capsicum, potatoes (mashed), green peas, pav bhaji masala, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, 5-6 teaspoon water. Now let it cook for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

When done, add finely chopped coriander leaves.

Prepare Pav

Take non-stick tava, add 2-3 teaspoon butter. Now put pav on the tava and let it cook from all the sides for few seconds.

Serve hot with bhaji, finely chopped onions, lemon juice.

Tips

  • If possible, use only pav bhaji masala for this recipe.

  • Don’t add too much water.

  • Don’t add too much capsicum.
