“Butter Naan” Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon yogurt
1 teaspoon ajwain (carom
seeds)
1/2 teaspoon mangrail (kalonji)
4 teaspoon olive oil/refine oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
4-5 teaspoon Coriander leaves
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon instant active yeast or (1/2 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda)
Warm water
Kitchen utensils required:
- 10 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
- 1 Spatula (I prefer: PINDIA Wooden Curved Spoons)
- 1 non-stick tava (I prefer: Vinod Cookware Dosa Tava)
- 1 Water jug
Step by step
procedure:
Prepare
Naan dough
Step-1 Take bowl add instant active yeast (as shown in picture),
sugar and warm water. Mix it and keep it for at least 10 minutes. This mix will
help to make fluffy naan.
Step-2 Take bowl,
add maida, ajwain, mangrail, olive oil, salt, yogurt, instant active yeast mix
of step-1. Mix everything very well.
Step-3 Add warm
water (if required) and knead it to get soft and sticky dough. Apply little oil
at all the side of dough.
Step-4 Keep aside
dough for at-least 2 hour in a warm place.
Step-5 Take out dough and again knead it and then keep it for
another 5 minutes.
Prepare
Butter naan
Step-1 Spread dry all-purpose flour on surface you are going to
make naan.
Step-2 Apply oil on your hand. Now take lemon size ball out of the
dough.
Step-3 Apply dry four on the lemon size ball. Now either roll it
with help of rolling pin or with your hand to desired shape of naan.
Step-4 Now spread coriander leaves and ajwain on the upper part of
naan. Again roll it once with rolling pin.
Step-5 Take non-stick tava, Heat it, when tava is hot then put
naan on it. Make sure to put coriander leaves side at up.
Step-6 Now spread few drops of water on upper part and then immediately
cover it with transparent lid. Make flame low and cook it for few minutes.
Step- 7 Now cook for other side at low fame for few minutes.
Step-8 When done then put naan on plate and immediately apply
butter on it.
Serve hot with any gravy.. like..paneer butter masala,
paneer pasanda, kadhai paneer, malai kofta.
Tips:
- Make sure that yeast you are using is active yeast otherwise it will not work.
- Make soft and sticky dough for naan.
