Ingredients
Oil to deep fry
1 Cup powder sugar
2
teaspoon green cardamom powder
¼ cup dry fruits of your
choice(finely chopped)
1 Gujiya maker
2 teaspoon oil
Gujiya
Dough Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose
flour(maida)
|
Pinch of
baking powder
|
3 -4
teaspoon refine oil or ghee
|
Cold
water(as required)
|
Mawa Ingredients:
|
1/2 cup milk powder
|
5-6 teaspoon ghee
|
4-5 teaspoon milk(as required)
|
Step by step procedure:
Prepare dough
Step-1 Take bowl, add maida, ghee, baking powder. Mix everything
very well.
Step-2 Add cold water and knead the dough very well.
Step-3 Keep aside dough for 30-40 minutes in a warm place.
Prepare Mava at home
Step-1 Take bowl (microwave safe), add milk powder and ghee in it.
Mix it very well.
Step-2 Now add very less amount of milk (2-3 teaspoon or more).
Mix everything very well.
Step-3 Now put the mixture in a microwave for at-least 2 minutes.
Step-4 Take it out and mix it properly.
Step-5 Again put the mixture in a microwave for 1 minute.
Step-6 Take it out of the microwave and When cooled add powder
sugar and all the chopped dry fruits in it. Mix it very well.
Prepare Gujiya
Step-1 Take out bowl of dough. Now take small part (big lemon size)
of dough.
Step-2 Apply oil on the surface on which
you will roll the thin puri.
Step-3 Now with the help of rolling
pin roll it in shape of thin puri. Now put small lemon size mawa filling in
that puri.
Step-4 Apply oil on gujiya maker and
then put that puri having 1 teaspoon mawa, on the gujiya maker.
Step-5 Now close the gujiya maker
very well by pressing it from all the sides. Remove excess maida from all the
sides.
Step-6 Keep the ghujiya on a plate
and cover it with any cotton cloth. Similarly prepare all the Gujiya’s from the
dough and the mawa filling.
Step-7 Heat deep fry pan, add oil to deep fry. When oil is
super-hot then add 3-4 gujiya’s at a time and switch the flame to medium. Cook
it from all the sides. Similarly prepare all gujiya’s.
When done, enjoy it.
Tips:
- Make sure to cook gujiya's on medium to low flame.
