“Mawa Gujiya”



“Mawa Gujiya” Recipe

Prep Time: 1 hour   | Cook time: 40 mins    | Serves: 2-3



Ingredients                             
Oil to deep fry 
1 Cup powder sugar
2 teaspoon green cardamom powder
¼ cup dry fruits of your choice(finely chopped)
1 Gujiya maker
2 teaspoon oil

Gujiya Dough Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour(maida)
Pinch of baking powder
3 -4 teaspoon refine oil or ghee
Cold water(as required)
Mawa  Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk powder
5-6 teaspoon ghee
4-5 teaspoon milk(as required)
            





                          
                                                     Step by step procedure:

Prepare dough

Step-1 Take bowl, add maida, ghee, baking powder. Mix everything very well.

Step-2 Add cold water and knead the dough very well.

Step-3 Keep aside dough for 30-40 minutes in a warm place.

Prepare Mava at home

Step-1 Take bowl (microwave safe), add milk powder and ghee in it. Mix it very well.
Step-2 Now add very less amount of milk (2-3 teaspoon or more). Mix everything very well.
Step-3 Now put the mixture in a microwave for at-least 2 minutes.
Step-4 Take it out and mix it properly.
Step-5 Again put the mixture in a microwave for 1 minute.
Step-6 Take it out of the microwave and When cooled add powder sugar and all the chopped dry fruits in it. Mix it very well.

Prepare Gujiya
Step-1 Take out bowl of dough. Now take small part (big lemon size) of dough.
Step-2 Apply oil on the surface on which you will roll the thin puri.
Step-3 Now with the help of rolling pin roll it in shape of thin puri. Now put small lemon size mawa filling in that puri.
Step-4 Apply oil on gujiya maker and then put that puri having 1 teaspoon mawa, on the gujiya maker.
Step-5 Now close the gujiya maker very well by pressing it from all the sides. Remove excess maida from all the sides.
Step-6 Keep the ghujiya on a plate and cover it with any cotton cloth. Similarly prepare all the Gujiya’s from the dough and the mawa filling.
Step-7 Heat deep fry pan, add oil to deep fry. When oil is super-hot then add 3-4 gujiya’s at a time and switch the flame to medium. Cook it from all the sides. Similarly prepare all gujiya’s.

 When done, enjoy it.

Tips:

  • Make sure to cook gujiya's on medium to low flame.

“Dahi ”



                                           “Dahi ” Recipe

Dahi  Ingredients:
½ lit milk
1 teaspoon dahi





                          Step by step procedure:

Prepare Dahi at home
Step-1 Take deep fry pan, heat it. Put milk in it. Let it become warm.
Step-2 Take small bowl, now put 1 teaspoon curd in it. Add 3-4 teaspoon warm milk in it. Mix it very well.
Step-3 Now transfer the mix of bow into the pan containing warm milk. It’s time to mix everything very well.
Step-4 Transfer it into any bowl and cover it tightly.
Step-5 Keep it at any warm place for 5-6 hours.
When done use it to prepare lassi.
Tips: 

    • A teaspoon of dahi is sufficient for making 1 cup of dahi.

“Mawa ”

Mawa  Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk powder
5-6 teaspoon ghee
4-5 teaspoon milk(as required)
 








                                          Step by step procedure:

Prepare Mava at home

Step-1 Take bowl (microwave safe), add milk powder and ghee in it. Mix it very well.
Step-2 Now add very less amount of milk (2-3 teaspoon or more). Mix everything very well.
Step-3 Now put the mixture in a microwave for at-least 2 minutes.
Step-4 Take it out and mix it properly.
Step-5 Again put the mixture in a microwave for 1 minute.
Step-6 Take it out of the microwave and put it in a freeze.

Use it when required.
 
Tips:

  • Don’t add too much liquid milk to prepare mawa.

Punjabi “Fruit-Mawa Lassi”



Punjabi “Fruit-Mawa Lassi” Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup Dahi

3-4 teaspoon sugar
2-3 teaspoon mawa
2-3 teaspoon grapes (Green or black)
2-3 teaspoon banana (finely chopped)
2-3 teaspoon pomegranate
1 teaspoon roohafza
3-4 ice-cubes
1 teaspoon green cardamom powder

1 teaspoon dry fruits of your choice
                                      Step by step procedure:


Prepare Fruit- Mawa Lassi

Step-1 Take Deep bowl, add dahi and sugar.

Step-2 Take electric hand blender, Blend it for 20-30 seconds.

Step-3 Add green cardamom powders, ice cubes in it and again blend it for 30 seconds.

Step-4 Now add dry fruits, grapes, banana and pomegranate. Mix everything well.

Step-5 Now transfer it in big glass and put 1 teaspoon of roohafza.
Enjoy it..using spoon.


Tips:


  • Don’t add too much mawa in the lassi.
  • Don’t blend lassi for very long time.
  • Adding roohafza gives very good flavor to your lassi.
