If you have some milk left unused and have lauki in
your kitchen then you can prepare a very interesting and tempting sweet dish
called as lauki kheer. Aroma of cumin in this kheer makes it very tempting. Once
you prepare it, you will love to make it again and again. This is very easy and
quick recipe that you can call it simple and quick sweet dish…see the recipe to

Ingredients:

1 small
size lauki (bottle gourd)

teaspoon ghee
|
½
teaspoon cumin seed
|
2 cup
milk
|
4-5
teaspoon sugar
|
Green
cardamom powder
|
½ teaspoon
nariyal finely chopped
|
½
teaspoon kaju finely chopped
|
Kitchen utensils required:
- 1 non-stick pan (I prefer: Vinod Zest Non- Stick Friendly Pan)
- 1 Spatula (I prefer: PINDIA Wooden Curved Spoons)
- 8 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
- 1 Grater (I prefer: Pearl Store Easy Grater)
- 1 Chopper (I prefer: Genius Nicer Dicer Plus Multi Chopper Vegetable Cutter Fruit slicer)
- 1 cooker (I prefer: Prestige Popular Aluminum Pressure Cooker, 3 Liters)
Step
by step procedure:
Step-1 grate lauki with grater (kaddukas).
Step-2 Cook lauki in cooker for 1 weasel at high flame.
Step-3 Heat a non-stick pan and add ghee and cumin seed. Now add
cooked lauki to it. Stir well for 3-4 minutes. Now add milk and sugar to it and
mix everything well. Cook it for 4-5 minutes at medium flame.
When done garnish it with cardamom
powder, grated nariyal, chopped kaju.
Goes well with roti……
Tips:
- Don't use too much cumin seed.
- Always cook lauki before making kheer.
