“Burger” McDonald Style Recipe

Burger is a street food which is loved by most of the
people in India. This is especially famous in northern India. But the burger
that we get at street side is not healthy since oil they use to fry for tikki are
generally of cheap and low quality. If you eat such unhealthy burgers daily
then it can severely harm to your health. I love only McDonald’s burgers due to
their high quality ingredients and crunchiness in their patties. I always wanted
to get the original taste of McDonald’s Burger at my home so I decided to start
practicing on burger making and after many attempts, I feel I have reached
close to my goal to get crunchiness and taste in aloo tikki... So friends,
don’t waste your time. Come join me and try it at your home…I am sure you will
love to make it again and again...
Ingredients:
1 cup maida (all-purpose flour)
¼ teaspoon corn starch
1 teaspoon butter
1 cup bread crumbs
3 teaspoon white mayonnaise
sauce
5 cheese slice (optional)
6-7 paneer cubes (optional)
1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
2 tomatoes slices
1 cucumber slices
Oil for deep frying tikki’s

tikki masala Ingredients:

teaspoon turmeric

teaspoon garlic green chilli paste

teaspoon mango powder

teaspoon roasted cumin powder

teaspoon paprika
|
¾
teaspoon salt(as per your taste)

Kitchen utensils required:
- 2 non-stick pan (I prefer: Vinod Zest Non- Stick Friendly Pan)
- 2 Spatula (I prefer: PINDIA Wooden Curved Spoons)
- 22 bowls (I prefer: Borosil Mixing Bowl)
- 1 Mixer-grinder( I prefer: Prestige Hero 550- Watt Mixer Grinder)
- 1 non-stick tava (I prefer: Vinod Cookware Dosa Tava)
- 1 Grater (I prefer: Pearl Store Easy Grater)
- 1 Chopper (I prefer: Genius Nicer Dicer Plus Multi Chopper Vegetable Cutter Fruit slicer)
- 1 cooker (I prefer: Prestige Popular Aluminum Pressure Cooker, 3 Liters)
- 1 Microwave ( I prefer: IFB 25DGSC1 25-Litre 1400-Watt Convection Microwave Oven )
Step by step procedure:
Step-1 Prepare veg tikki masala
In a grinder, grind all the masala
ingredients to coarsely grind powder.
Step-2 Make veg tikki
First, boil potatoes in a cooker. Now in a deep fry pan, add butter and all
the vegetables of tikki ingredients. Cook them. When veg’s are cooked then add
tikki masala, salt and mix everything very well. Now soak poha in water and
then remove excess water of poha. Add poha in the pan and let it cook in low
flame for 2 minutes.
Step-3 On polythene
sheet put all the tikki content (cooled). Roll the sheet and seal
it from all sides. Now keep it in freezer for 10-15 minutes. Take out the tikki
from freezer and cut it in shape of tikki with knife.
Step-4 Take a bowl and add maida, corn starch, salt and mix well
with cold water. Take one tikki and dip it in maida mix then dip it in bread
crumbs and then deep fry it in refine oil. Similarly prepare all the tikki’s.
Step-5 prepare burger fillings
Take burger buns and shallow fry it
on tava for few seconds. Now take one part and apply white mayonnaise
sauce or red sauce (add tomato catchup to mayonnaise sauce) on it and then add finely chopped cabbage, paneer cubes, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese slice. On
other burger Bun put tikki. Now keep both part together. Finally put
burger in microwave for 30-40 seconds and when done enjoyyyyyyyy it with
coke.
Tips:
- Adding poha will give crunchiness to tikki.
- Keep tikki in freezer so that all mix set very well.
- Dip tikki in maida and bread crumbs for more crunchiness.
- Adding cheese slice make burger taste so good.
- Putting burger in microwave will melt cheese slice.
