“Amritsari Chicken Masala” Recipe

½ kg chicken
1 onion (paste)
1 tomato (paste)
2 teaspoon red chili garlic (paste)
3 teaspoon ghee or refine oil
Marinade
Masala Ingredients:

½ teaspoon
cumin powder

½ teaspoon
coriander powder

teaspoon garam masala
|

teaspoon lemon juice

½
teaspoon food color

Salt as
per your taste

teaspoon turmeric powder

teaspoon red chili powder
|
Step by step procedure:
Step-1 Wash chicken pieces. Make holes in chicken pieces with
fork.
Step-2 Add all the marinade masala Ingredients and mix it very well
with chicken.
Step-3 Keep aside it for about 3-4 hours in freeze to marinade.
Step-4 Take out chicken mix and add pinch of red chili powder and
garam masala.
Step-5 Take deep fry pan, heat it. Now add ghee or refine oil into
the pan.
Step-6 Now add
onion paste and red chili garlic paste into the pan, fry it well.
Step-7 Add
tomato paste and cook it on low flame with cover lid.
Step-8 When
cooked the take it out from the pan.
Step-9 Into the
same pan add 1 teaspoon of ghee, then add all the marinade chicken into the pan
and cook it for 6-7 mins on low flame, cover the lid of pan. Stir well in
between.
Step-10 Now check
the chicken, if there is still water of chicken in the pan then again cook it on low flame
for 5-6 minutes on low flame.
Step-11 When
cooked then add all the onion and tomato masala done in step-8.
Step-12 add pinch
of food color and salt into it and mix everything very well.
Step-13 Add ½ cup
water and let it boil once. Switch the flame to low and add chopped coriander
leaves.
Serve hot with nan, pulav or plane rice.

Tips:
- All masala flavors will go inside of chicken by making holes in chicken pieces.
- Always marinade chicken before using it for this recipe.
