“Shakarpara or Khurma”



“Shakarpara or Khurma” Recipe

Ingredients                             
Oil to deep fry 
1/2 Cup powder sugar

Khurma Dough Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour(maida)
Pinch of baking powder
3 -4 teaspoon refine oil or ghee
Cold water(as required)
            





                          
                                                  
                                         Step by step procedure:

Prepare dough

Step-1 Take bowl, add maida, ghee, baking powder. Mix everything very well.

Step-2 Add cold water and knead the dough very well.

Step-3 Keep aside dough for 30-40 minutes in a warm place.

Prepare Khurma

Step-1 Take out bowl of dough. Now take small part (big lemon size) of dough.

Step-2 Apply oil on the surface on which you will roll the thin roti.

Step-3 Now with the help of rolling pin roll it in shape of thin big roti. 

Step-4 Now cut big roti in shape of squares.

Step-5 Heat deep fry pan, add oil to deep fry. When oil is super-hot then add few of squares at a time and switch the flame to medium. Cook it from all the sides. Take it out on a plate. Similarly prepare all squares.

Step-6 Now add powdered sugar in the khurma and mix it very well so that it cover all the sides of khurma.

 When done, enjoy it.

Tips:

  • Make sure to keep flame low to medium flame while frying khurma’s.
