“Strawberry Jelly Cake”



“Strawberry Jelly Cake” recipe

Ingredients:

200 ml water (cold or normal)
1 teaspoon agar-agar powder
2 teaspoon powder sugar
1 teaspoon strawberry flavor
Pinch of red food color (optional)
Chopped nuts or candy to decorate










                                          Step by step procedure:

Prepare Jelly Cake
Step-1 Take bowl add water, agar agar powder, white powder sugar, strawberry flavor and red food color. Mix all ingredients with the help of spoon and keep it at rest for at least 10 mins.
Step-2 Now heat deep fry pan, transfer the mix of step-1 into the pan. Stir well until everything melt completely on low flame for approx. 5 mins.
Step-3 Now transfer the hot mix into the cake mold. Let it set to jelly cake at room temperature for at least 1 hour or more.
Step-4 When done, scratch surface of jelly by using knife before pouring jelly cake into the plate.
Decorate jelly cake by using candy or chopped nuts…enjoy.



Tips:

  • Don’t cook agar agar powder on medium or high flame.
  • Don’t overcook agar agar powder on heat as it tends to set while cooking.
  • Don’t disturb the container in which you need to set jelly.
  • Agar agar sets jelly at room temperature, no need to keep it in freeze to set jelly.

“Veg-Dum Biryani”



“Veg-Dum Biryani” Recipe

Ingredients     
                        
Vegetables Required
6-7 pieces Potato
6-7 pieces cauliflower
½ cup peas
3-4 pieces carrot
2-3 pieces capsicum
4-5 cubes paneer (fried)
4-5 cashews (fried)
Coriander leaves (finely chopped)


Rice Ingredients:
½ kg Basmati Rice
Water as required
3-4 green cardamom
1 cinnamon stick
2 black cloves
3-4 teaspoon refine oil or ghee
Salt as per your taste

Veg-Dum Biryani  masala Ingredients:
5-6 onion (finely chopped)
½ cup refine oil
1 cinnamon stick
3-4 green cardamom
2 black cardamom
3 black cloves
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1-2 teaspoon food color
4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
5 large teaspoon red chili powder
1 cup yogurt(beaten)
5 teaspoon ginger garlic, green chili paste
½ cup mint leaves(finely chopped)
½ cup coriander leaves(finely chopped)
Salt as per your taste





                          









                                       




























                                               Step by step procedure:

Prepare Masala for Veg Biryani.

Step-1 Take big size cooker, heat it. Add 1 teaspoon oil into it.

Step-2 In a grinder first grind cinnamon to fine powder then add black cardamom, green cardamom, cumin seeds, cloves and coarsely grind them.

Step-3 Now transfer the mix of grinder into the cooker. It’s time to mix everything very well.

Step-4 In a fry pan, add oil and when oil is hot then add lots of chopped onions to fry it to golden brown.

Step-5 Now make fine paste of ginger, garlic and green chili. Add it to the cooker.

Step-6 Add garam masala and salt into the cooker. 

Step-7 Cover the cooker with lid for 1 minutes on low flame.

Step-8 Now add Red chili powder and cumin powder. Mix it.

Step-9 Add finely chopped coriander and mint leaves.

Step-10 Add 1/4 cup refine oil into the cooker.

Step-11 Add lots of fried onions into the cooker. Mix everything very well.

Step-12 Now add yogurt into it and mix it very well. Cook it for 2 minutes.

Step-13 Add ½ cup Warm Water into the cooker and mix it. Cover the lid and let it cook on low flame. Now it’s time to prepare rice and fried vegetables for birani.


Step-14 Prepare Fried Vegetables for biryani

Take deep fry pan, heat oil. Now add all the veggies and salt as listed above. Fry it until they are cooked nicely. For good aroma add finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.


Step-15 Prepare rice for biryani

Take big size fry pan, add water into it. When water get boiled then add cinnamon stick, green cardamom, black cloves into it. Now add salt and oil into it. Let it cook for 1 minute. Now add washed basmati rice into the pan. Stir it continuously.

Step-16 When rice is 50% cooked then transfer it into the cooker. Make sure to add it slowly and layered wise.

Step-17 Add ½ part of fried veggies into the cooker.

Step-18 Now add left over rice from the pan into the cooker.

Step-19 Now add few coriander leaves and mint leaves on the top.

Step-20 Add few fried onions and left over fried veggies on the top.

Step-21 Now add food color on the top.

Step-22 Cover the cooker with lead to cook it at dum and let the rice as well as veggies completely cook. Check it continuously, if the steam comes then switch of the flame. 

Step-23 Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves, fried cashews and fried paneer.


 Enjoy it.

Tips:

  • Don’t add too much of water in the masala.

  • You can use water of rice. It will give good flavor to the biryani.

  • Add all the ingredients as prescribed in the list.

“Mashed Tandoori Potatoes (Spicy)”







“Mashed Tandoori Potatoes (Spicy)” Recipe

Mashed potatoes Ingredients:
5-6 Baby potatoes (boiled)
½ teaspoon chat masala
Pinch of black paper powder
Salt as per your taste
¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder




 









Marinade Masala Ingredients:
5-6 teaspoon yogurt (beaten)
2 teaspoon ginger garlic green chili paste
2 teaspoon tandoori chicken masala
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon food color
¼ teaspoon black paper powder
Salt as per your taste
1 teaspoon red chili powder



                                   


                                              












                                      



                                          Step by step procedure:

Prepare Spicy Potatoes

Step-1 Boil the baby potatoes, Make sure that they are dry, now peel them.  

Step-2 Now mesh them and add all the mashed potatoes ingredients. Mix everything until you get smooth mix. Adjust salt according to your taste.

Step-3 Now take few portion of it and roll them in shape of baby potatoes. Now spicy baby potatoes are ready.

Prepare Marinade masala for potatoes

Step-1 Take bowl, add all the marinade masala ingredients. Now mix them very well.

Step-2 When mixed, add meshed baby potatoes into the mix.

Step-3 Keep aside it for about 1 hour in freeze to marinade.

Step-4 Take out potato mix and add pinch of red chili powder and garam masala.


Prepare Tandoori Baby Potatoes

Preheat microwave


Start your microwave, now press convection button. Set temperature at 200 degree. Now start  preheat. It will beep when microwave is preheated.

Step-1 Place the baby potatoes on high rack and brush it with oil.

Step-2 When preheat is done then place the rack with marinade potatoes on it into the microwave and press tandoori/grill mode and set time of 15-18 minutes. Do check in between. 

Step-3 When done from upper side, take out potatoes and turn it, apply oil on that side and again put the rack in microwave and set time 8-10 minutes. Until done, check in between.

When done, serve hot with red sauce or green chutney. 



Tips: 
  • Put foil or any heat proof plate below the rack to catch the dripping.
  • You can use boiled potatoes (not mashed). But taste of this recipe is perfect as we had used spicy mashed potatoes.
