“Spicy Besan Kadhi Recipe with Aloo tamatar Sabzi Recipe ”




Spicy Besan  Kadhi” Recipe

Ingredients:

  Oil for frying pakoda’s

Tadka for Kadhi Ingredients:
½ teaspoon fennel seeds
2 teaspoon oil or ghee
2 red chili
Pinch of rai seeds










Kadhi Gravy Ingredients:
1 cup besan
2 teaspoon oil or ghee
1 teaspoon  garlic green chili paste
1 Large teaspoon bhara mirch pickle masala
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
¼  teaspoon cumin seeds 
1 teaspoon lemon juice or 1 mango khatai
2-3 seeds of methi dana
Salt as per your taste
Water as required
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

 



                                   















Kadhi Pakoda Ingredients:
1 cup besan
1/2 teaspoon  garlic green chili paste
Pinch of  cumin seeds
Salt as per your taste










                                            


                                    Step by step procedure:


1- Prepare Kadhi Gravy

Step-1 Heat deep fry pan, add oil in it. When oil is hot then add cumin seeds and methi dana. Now both when done add green chili and garlic paste. Cook it for a second.

Step-2 Now add turmeric powder and bharua mirch masala into the pan. Mix it well and cook it for few seconds on low flame.

Step-3 Mix besan and red chili powder with water and make fine paste of it. Now add this paste into the pan slowly on low heat. With continuous stir cook it for a minute until it get boil. Add more water if needed. 

Step-4 When boiled, add salt and lemon juice or khatai into the kadhi.

Step-5 Finally add kadhi pakoda’s(recipe below) into the pan and switch high to flame for a second, now cover the pan with lid and switch off the flame.

Step-6 After 1 minute stir once so that kadhi pakoda’s get soaked well with kadhi gravy.


2- Prepare Kadhi Pakoda

Step-1  Add besan, salt, green chili and garlic paste, few cumin seeds.

Step-2 Add very less amount of water so that to get thick paste of pakoda’s. 

Step-3 Now work on paste i.e mix it continuously until paste become light and fluppy. Use electric blender or use your five fingers for mixing paste of pakoda's to get light and fluppy paste. To check it, take a bowl fill it with water. Now drop besan paste with finger into the bowl. If besan paste comes up that mean in oil too it will come up and now paste is done properly.

Step-4 Let the paste rest for at-least 5 minutes. 

Step-5 Heat deep fry pan, add oil for frying pakoda’s.

Step-6 When oil become very hot, keep flame at medium. Now using your five fingers drop one by one pakoda’s paste to make pakoda’s. Do same with all paste.

Step-7 When pakoda’s are done then take them out and pour them into hot water. Keep them in hot water for atleast 5 minutes.

Step-8 Take them out and remove excess water from pakoda’s. 

Step-9 Now add all pakoda’s into the gravy of kadhi made in step-5 of gravy recipe.



3- Prepare Kadhi Tadka

Heat tawa, add ghee or oil. When oil is hot then add 2 red chili, fennel seeds and rai seeds into the oil. Now stir well and cook for a second. Transfer  it immediately into the kadhi made in above steps. 

When done, serve hot with aloo tamatar sabzi(Recipe below)and plain rice(Recipe below).. I am sure that every one will love the taste of these combination…enjoy.









Tips: 
  • Don’t add too much besan for making gravy.
  • You will need atleast one bharua mirch for this recipe.
  • Adding green chili paste is necessary for good taste.
  • Make sure that pakoda paste is not runny consistency.
  • Mix pakoda paste till light and fluppy. 




Prepare Aloo Tamatar Sabzi


Ingredients

2-3 Boiled potatoes(cut into pieces)
1 Onion(finely chopped)
1 teaspoon jira
1 green chili(chopped)
1 tomato (finely chopped)
Red chili(optional)
2 teaspoon oil
salt ad per your taste

Method:
Take deep fry pan, heat it,add oil. Now add cumin seeds,now add chopped onion and fry it.Now add chopped tomatoes and fry it.When cooked then add boiled potatoes pieces,salt,red chili powder and then mix it and let it cook for 2-3 mins with lid on the pan.When done,garnish it with coriander leaves.



Prepare Rice


Ingredients

1 cup Basmati rice or good quality rice
Water as needed

Method:
Soak rice in water for 15 mins. Now in a cooker add rice and water(as needed).Cover the lid of cooker and cook it until 1 weasel.Serve it hot.
