“Tandoori Chicken: Restaurant Style” Recipe

Ingredients:

3-4 chicken pieces
1 teaspoon refine oil (to brush on chicken while grilling)

Marinade Masala Ingredients:
1 teaspoon Chef’s Spice lab Tandoori chicken masala
1/4 teaspoon ginger paste
¼ teaspoon lemon juice(optional)
½ teaspoon sour cream
 Pinch of Red food color
Salt as per your taste
1 or ½ teaspoon red chili powder



                                   


                                              












                                      



                                          Step by step procedure:

Wash chicken pieces. Make cuts using knife.

Step-1  Add Chef's Spices Lab Tandoori chicken masala.

Step-2 Add ginger paste into it.

Step-3 Add sour cream into it.(you can prepare sour cream by mixing 1/4 tsp yogurt & 1/4 teaspoon of lemon into fresh cream).

Step-4 Add lemon into it (Adding lemon is optional).

Step-5 Add Salt & red chilli powder according to your taste.

Step-6 Add pinch of red food color to give restaurant like look.

Step-7 Mix all the ingredients very well.

Step-8 Keep it covered in refrigerator for 2-4 hrs.

Step-9  Preheat oven at 180 degree c, when done then roast chicken pieces for 20 min.

Step-10 Chicken half cooked in microwave & now ready to go on grill (I was unable to arrange tandoor for this preparation hence switched to grill)

Step-11 Prepare grill using charcoal.

Step-12 Put roasted chicken on the grill & let them cook from all sides(10-12 mins). Remove them from grill when they are golden brown.


How to use microwave for tandoori chicken recipe:

Switch on your microwave, Put high rack inside & then close the door & press convection button. Set temperature at 200 degree. Now starts preheat. It will beep when microwave is preheated.


 When preheat is done, open the door then put the bowl with chicken on it, close the door and set time of 15-18 minutes. Do check in between. 


When done, take it out for grilling process. 



Tips: 
  • All masala flavors will go inside of chicken by making cuts in chicken pieces.
  • Please make sure to Marinade your chicken pieces as long as possible so that all the ingredients absorbed by the chicken for rich taste. Best duration is to keep it for 4 hrs inside freeze.
  • Adding lemon is optional in this recipe because we are already adding sour cream.
  • Red chili is already in chef’s spices lab tandoori chicken masala so if want to add chili powder, don’t use much.
  • Adding red food colour gives rich look to the tandoori chicken.
